35W Bridge: The Night Before Opening

Yesterday was a landmark of sorts for Minneapolis as the newly reconstructed Interstate 35W bridge spanning the Mississippi river opened for traffic. This night photo showing the simplicity of the new concrete span looks normal but for those inconvenienced following last August's collapse and those who were left behind following the death of 13 on the bridge the humid evening, this is truly a landmark.
