Go Betty Go vocalist Emily Wynne-Hughes

I was first turned on to pop-punk outfit Go Betty Go right her in Minneapolis via Mary Lucia on 89.3 The Current. The cheerleader-esque riot-inducing rock instantly stuck with me and I was at least mildly hooked.

That's why I am at least a bit disheartened that lead singer Emily Wynne-Hughes showed up on last nights season premiere of American Idol on Fox. At least she did so in punk style by rocking the Heart tune Barracuda (as best as you can sans band). Sadly enough for Go Betty Go fans, she made it to Hollywood, dawg so the band may be down one lead singer.

Hopefully this all boils down to some sort of publicity stunt.
