Getting on the train

The lighting of this photo makes me think it could have been taken in an eastern European country - maybe the bygone Czechoslovokia - but the train's markings are distinctly Minnesota. Although I highly doubt anyone taking their bicycle on the Hiawatha Line train is going all the way to the Mall of America, stranger things have happened. This line, stretcing from downtown Minneapolis to Bloomington's Mall of America will be joined in the near future by the University Line connecting downtown St. Paul to Minneapolis and by the Northstar commuter line running from Big Lake to Target Field in downtown west. And today's news brings talk of a lobbying effort for a rail line (light/commuter) heading west along I-394 to Wayzata and onward to Willmar.
