The photographer says: Not all of the prairie is flat. Here is a section of Hwy 50 between New Trier, MN and Meisville, MN with some pretty good hills. And this section really drifts in the winter too. A thru the windshield shot with just a bit of "dusk" treatment and a little of my brown smoke texture.

Welcome to the MinnPics best of 2011
The MinnPics best of 2011 is officially upon us. Over the next four days I'll be showcasing the best photo of each month from the past year as photographed by intrepid Minnesotans who always seem to be carrying their cameras and be in the right place and precisely the right moment.
Just like past years, 2011 has been a visually stunning year. From mountains of snow which truly lasted into June to visually spectacular summer storms to a vibrant and colorful fall which went by far too fast there is plenty to choose from photographically speaking.
So it's off to make some difficult decisions and show off the best photo taken in Minnesota from each month of 2011.
