This beach, with only collapsed umbrella frames lining the sandy shore, in the western Minneapolis suburb of Eden Prairie, MN likely hasn't seen swimmers for a couple months but the extended warmth from our prolonged autumn may have filled the beach with a few stragglers eager to soak up rays, enjoy the great outdoors or simply relax as the sound of waves engulfed their senses along the shore of Bryant Lake. Ice Castles - Eden Prairie, MN
If you are in the greater Twin Cities area or within driving distance of the southwest Twin Cities area, you have to get out and check out the ice castles in Eden Prairie, MN. While this is not the carved-from-blocks-of-ice ice palace you'd see at the St. Paul Winter Carnival, structures made from ice are still striking. Get the details on location and buy tickets here.

Round Lake, Eden Prairie, MN
from flickr user Oakesjohn
A spectacular fish eye photo taken yesterday on the dock approaching Round Lake in the southwestern Minneapolis suburb of Eden Prairie, MN. The brilliant blue of the sky against the sprinkling of green in the grass and algae paired with the mirroring of shaped (sky and dock) make for an almost perfect capture during our extended preview of Spring.
