The spring thaw is on in Duluth as shown by this black and white photo of Duluth Harbor complete with a couple of Canadian Geese in the foreground who look like they're just hanging out looking to cause some trouble.

Brave brown bird
from flickr user Jimmy_Raccoon
Even in the depths of the coldest Minnesota winter in thirty years, this brave little bird with the cutest little red beak ever has stuck around and seems happy perched behind a framing line of snow.

Best of MinnPics - June 2013
from flickr user jjs08
Sometime in June, summer finally made an appearance in Minnesota and with it came all the typical characters that come with summer. Golden sunsets, birds chirping and in this case both of those items made their appearance in this particular photo of a Bluebird perched on a wooden fence apparently having an early-evening snack.

The geese return to Minnesota
from flickr user k.landerholm
I'm not sure that the geese that call Minnesota home even left during our recent non-winter but if they did they have now returned and with temperatures cracking the 70 degree mark most of this week these geese probably aren't going to be regretting their decision.
